Who is Carlotasweb?

Carlotasweb is the name she created when she needed her very first email address and ended up finding her author identity.

Her first name is Charlotte. In Italian, that becomes Carlota. Living in the United States, she often explained her name by referencing the children’s book Charlotte’s Web. When “charlottesweb” was already taken on Hotmail, she swapped Charlotte for Carlota. The result was carlotasweb. A small improvisation that quietly followed her for years and eventually became the place where her story lives.

She is a first-time author who is writing her debut book the same way some people learn to swim. Out of necessity. What started as survival slowly turned into therapy, and then into a story meant to be shared.

A mother with more than one failed marriage and a life lived across five different countries, she knows both the joy of living and the discomfort that comes with it. Her writing explores trauma, reinvention, and the strange beauty of starting over in midlife.

She believes healing should come with a soundtrack. You will often find her singing in the car, dancing in grocery store aisles, or losing herself at a music festival or karaoke night. Music is how she processes life, which is why her book is built around it.

Her book is an immersive experience shaped by songs, memories, and emotion. Each chapter connects to music, and through Carlotasweb.com, readers can follow along with photos and videos that bring the story even closer to real life.

She writes for women who grew up in the same era she did. Women who have loved deeply yet were never heard, who have fallen apart, and are still standing. Her hope is simple. That readers feel understood, laugh a little, and think, “This feels like my story too.”
